A view from Aceh, six months after

Six months after the tsunami, the questions on everyone’s mind are: How much longer will it be before life returns to normal in the affected areas, before the houses are rebuilt, the roads repaired, and livelihoods restored? And if the money is there, what is holding up reconstruction and development? Masood Hyder, until recently the senior UN officer in Aceh, offers this view.
