Stockholm based GuarantCo competes with Sida guarantees

The Stockholm based GuarantCo competes with the guarantee scheme of the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), according to a recent evaluation. (See Page Eight) GuarantCo was established last year. The British aid agency DFID committed USD 25 million in share capital. Sweden is to commit a similar amount, but the decision has been held up.
