Lack of long-term commitments in Afghanistan

The donor community’s failure to promise sufficient long-term funding for Afghanistan increases the threats posed by warlord militias, terrorist groups, and the escalating opium trade. It also risks putting the country back at the top of the list of the world’s failed states, CARE Norway’s Gunnar Andersen writes.
