US tax authorities to decide on charity status of Gates’ Vaccine Fund

The Vaccine Fund is preparing a report for the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to maintain its favourable publicly-supported charity status. Norway’s recent pledge of NOK 1.5 billion until 2010 could do the trick as the Vaccine Fund makes its case to IRS.
