Norwegian untied mixed credit scheme might be closed down

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is considering closing down the untied mixed credit scheme in Norwegian aid, an idea originally proposed in a report by the consultant Econ Pöyry. Stakeholders strongly object. In a hearing round, the Norwegian guarantee institute GIEK points to several weaknesses in the report and says it does not provide a sufficient basis for making changes in the private sector schemes.
