Review of Danish Arab Partnership

The Danish Arab Partnership is engaging non-profit organisations with knowledge of Denmark and the North Africa/Middle East regions to carry out five different areas of the programme.

In the human rights section, work will focus on standards, torture prevention and religious dialogue through partnerships with religious leaders, media, academia and intercultural platforms in the region.

The youth participation part places emphasis on economic and employment opportunities for youth, personal skill building, organisational capacity and legal reform. The labour section focuses on democratic organisation, social dialogue and conflict resolution, as well as legal reform.

There is a gender section, which aims at legislative reform, sexual and reproductive health and rights and support for victims of gender-based violence.

The final part is free media. This will focus on improved media independence and safe working conditions and institutional capacity of reform-oriented media outlets.

The deadline for the submission of tenders is November 3, 2016.
