Review of private forestry scheme
The private forestry programme currently being supported by Finland in Tanzania is to be monitored and evaluated.
The programme started in 2013 and lasts until 2017. It focuses on improving the enabling environment for establishment of private tree plantations, including setting up tree-grower associations, land use planning and incentive schemes.
The evaluation should support Finnish and Tanzanian decision makers to assess the impacts and sustainability of the project as it proceeds. The team will submit annual progress reports.
The report will focus especially on monitoring socio-economic impacts, especially on vulnerable stakeholder groups.
The deadline for submission of tenders is June 2, 2014.
