Support to CSOs in the Global South
Danida’s new policy on emphasises increasing capacity of organisations in the “Global South” so that they can to a greater extent take part in the initiative.
Danida is setting up a pilot facility to support capacity development of CSOs in Kenya, Uganda and Somalia. The objective is that these organisations will become catalysts for development in their respective countries.
The intention is to explore new ways of cooperation Emphasis will be on capacity development in areas such as: human rights-based approach, advocacy on labour rights, women’s rights, and children’s rights, risk management, anti-corruption, leadership, governance, and internal democracy. Danida is seeking a manager to set up and run the Pilot Facility over a period of 30 months.
The deadline for submission of applications is September 29, 2014.
