Andean biodiversity project reviews

The Foreign Ministry in Helsinki announces tenders for mid-term reviews of three biodiversity-related interventions in the Andean region.

The first is the second phase of the  Regional Biodiversity Programme for the Amazon Region of the Andean Countries (BioCAN), which runs to the end of 2013. The programme’s objective is to help Andean Amazon countries strengthen environmental management and improve their management of biodiversity.

The other two are the Energy and Environment Partnership and the Sustainable Forest Management Programme. The programmes are currently implemented in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, with Bolivia as observer, and run until the end of 2013.

The deadlines for the submission of tenders for the reveiws are July10, 2012 and August 10, 2012, respectively.
