Donors have adopted a united front in their reaction to allegations of corruption at the highest levels of government in Uganda. They have frozen EUR 36 million. Another EUR 77 million in aid channelled through government institutions are at risk if they do not receive a satisfactory response from Uganda soon.
Norway’s Erik Solheim is the first Nordic to take the helm of OECD’s aid watchdog, the Paris-based Development Assistance Committee (DAC). He is the first European politician to hold this key position in the aid field.
