Advisor at Vietnam waste water project
The Danish-financed drainage project in Vietnam, Bac Giang, has run into delays, and Danida has decided to finance a technical advisor to assist training in proper use of the facilities.
The project, approved with a mixed credit in 2003, involved reconstruction of a sewerage system, and construction of a waste water treatment plant and five pumping stations.
It was carried out by MT Højgaard from 2007 and completed in 2010.
Due to what the Danish Foreign Ministry describes as “delays and challenges”, Danida has agreed to finance training activities of local staff in plant management. This will include operation and maintenance of the plant, minor repair and replacements and laboratory tests.
The training period will go over one year with four-five visits by the international consultant.
