Norway steps up support for Iraqi oil authorities

Norway and Iraq will soon sign an agreement on expansion of the controversial aid-financed Oil For Development Programme which aims to help Iraqis manage their oil sector. Norway will provide NOK 20 million over three years.

Sweden multiplies funding of private sector aid scheme

The Swedish aid agency Sida is developing a new tool box for its private sector aid scheme and aims to multiply funding of such support to several hundred million crowns annually. Maximum support for individual companies will be EUR 200,000. The scheme will remain untied.

Upgrades diplomatic presence in Baghdad

Norway has upgraded its diplomatic presence in Baghdad and has rented office and living space for two diplomats in the Swedish Embassy.
