Iceland withdraws from Nicaragua

Iceland is pulling out of Nicaragua and concentrating its foreign aid on four countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The financial crisis in Iceland has resulted in the US dollar value its ISK 4 billion aid being reduced by one-third this year.

Ironically, Iceland reports a record high aid level for the crisis year 2008.
