Norway backs out of de Soto land rights project in Tanzania

Norway plans to exit from the formalisation and land rights programme in Tanzania that is being carried out by the Peruvian Institute for Liberty and Democracy (ILD).

The current phase of the project is scheduled to be finalised in March. Ambassador Jon Lomøy confirms to Development Today that Norway does not intend to support the next phase.
